Her experience spans many events, such as horsemanship, showmanship, western pleasure, trail, hunt seat equitation, hunter under saddle, reining, equine-assisted therapies, and preparing horses and riders for every level of competition; from first-time exhibitors to national-level competitors. Alexis believes every horse deserves a thoughtful, individualized training program built on patience, consistency, and clear communication.
Before returning to CA to operate Steele Performance Horses, Alexis served as an NCAA Division I collegiate equestrian coach and university professor, where she mentored students and athletes both in and out of the arena. Her background in coaching, education, and horse development allows her to combine proven training methods with a passion for teaching riders how to become true horsemen.
